The Oliver Wild management team have a full understanding of what is required to run successful projects from the main contractor’s perspective, I believe our approach to safety, quality, progress and customer service is far superior to any other subcontractor that I have worked with in my 27 years in the industry. Our specialties are providing full refurbishment packages and joinery subcontracting. We would be very interested in pricing any subcontract work you believe would be suitable for us. If we are fortunate enough to get on your tender list, you will be able to call me or any of our key staff any time, day, night or weekends, anything you ask for, we will be able to resource, be it a joiner to attend an emergency at 3 in the morning in Sheffield or or us to assist where another contractor is failing. I’ve no doubt, I’ll be the first person you’ll call when you have an issue that needs resolving.
A little bit about me
I started work in construction in 1989 and soon started with Tarmac Contract Housing, which changed names to Carillon Contract Housing, then was purchased by Lovell. I was supervising from age 19 and was a Senior Site Manager on new build social housing when in 2002. Lovell changed the senior management, a number of senior managers who I had worked with for years went to Connaught and they offered me a remuneration package that I couldn’t refuse. When I left Connaught after 7 years later to join Frank Haslam Milan (Keepmoat) I was a Contracts Manager. I was at FHM for 8 years managing new build schools, hospitals and police stations, new build housing and major decent homes schemes. In 2011 my brother came out of a 7-year stint at a drug rehabilitation centre where he was doing building work. I set up a company and website to get him work, the website became very successful and when I left FHM I had an order book of £500k. Approximately 6 months after leaving, I received a call from a contracts manager asking if I could do a small job for them, this went well and last year we turned over approximately £1.5m with them. I personally have all of the required qualifications, insurances and accreditations that you would expect. I have also one a considerable number of considerate constructors, NHBC and LABC awards and a newbuild housing scheme that I built was sustainable housing scheme of the year 2011.
